They met in summer of 2009, Natalie having just finished school and Jamie already a working man; their age difference was apparent. Jamie left it as a summer romance… a year later after bumping into each other again and Jamie moving to Belfast for university; he came to his senses that Natalie was a catch worthwhile keeping and they rekindled their romance.
After a year of being with each other Jamie packed his bags and moved to America for a year, for a placement opportunity. Despite everyone's hesitations they managed to stick together throughout. The America lunch break call home at the same time every evening may have been a drag but kept them strong. Both Natalie and Jamie made the most out of the year. the highlight being Natalie's visit to America. Jamie didn't leave his heart in San Francisco and returned home, The couple reunited in front of the entire nursing class which made the wait work while…
After just returning home; Jamie didn't get much quality time with Natalie… he spent a month preparing for the couple to move in together while Natalie went off to a nursing placement in Romania. As they say Absence makes the heart grow fonder!
Both managed to make it to Graduation but it wasn't time to settle down just yet! Jamie moved to Dublin for a year for work and a post Grad opportunity. Don't worry.. Natalie managed just fine, moving in close friend and nursing peer, Gemma. Both Natalie and Jamie had fun and independence while their relationship continued to grow strong.
Finally it was time to settle down after moving back in with each other for a further four years and after seven years together Jamie finally popped the question at Newgrange wolrd heritage site. Said to be one of the oldest structures in the world.. and probably an metaphor for their relationship; Natalie made Jamie made the big leap to spend their lives together.
